Apply to work
at camp
Join us for the summer of a lifetime!
If you already began an application, are a returning staff member, or are a former camper, you can sign in to CampInTouch to continue and submit your application.
how to apply
-
Please take some time to review all of the information available for campers and staff on our website. This is important to get to know Camp Trinity and our expectations.
-
This is your formal job application — please include detailed information as requested, as well as your reflections to our longer-answer prompts.
International Applicants should apply through a J1 visa sponsor agency before submitting an application through our website.
References: The application asks for three professional references. Please choose references who can provide insight into your character and who can speak to their experience working with you in an employment setting. Employers, supervisors, teachers, and coaches, are ideal. Relatives and/or your peers/friends likely do not meet this criteria.
When you list a reference, please include their contact info — they can expect to receive an email and phone call from us. Applicants who do not have all three references returned to us in a timely manner will not be considered for employment.
-
If we are interested in proceeding with your application, you’ll receive an invitation to set up a 45-50 minute virtual interview. This conversation allows us to learn about you and your interest in working with youth, and also helps us get a sense of whether you’d be a good fit for our team. It’s also your chance to learn more about the job and assess whether this opportunity aligns with your goals — so bring your questions too!
-
We aim to follow up with an update or a decision within 2-3 weeks after the interview. We then will expect a commitment from you within a reasonable timeframe.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
International applicants are eligible to work with us through the J-1 cultural exchange visa program. International applicants must apply through a visa sponsor agency such as Camp Leaders, CCUSA, and IENA prior to filling out our online application directly.
Our hiring process
We look forward to reviewing your application starting in November.
We only review applications submitted electronically through CampInTouch.
We evaluate applications as we receive them, and we will get in touch with you if we are interested in scheduling an interview. We hire on an ongoing basis until all of our positions are full.
All application materials must be submitted in a timely manner to be considered for employment. During the application process, we look for individuals who take initiative, follow through, and show good attention to detail.
Our expectation is that emails sent to applicants will be read and responded to in a timely manner. We may also call you directly to get in touch about your application so please provide a phone number that you pick up.
You are welcome to reach out any time to check on the status of your application or to keep us posted on your process. Please do not have parents, relatives, or friends request or check on the status of an application.
Immunizations required for CA schools are required for camp attendance. In addition, COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are recommended.
If you have questions regarding summer employment, our application process, or the outlined policies, please reach out to Clara Daikh, Assistant Director, at clara@bar717.com
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION
We believe Camp should be a place where kids feel free to be themselves—accepted, included, and embraced by a supportive community of peers and adults.
We strive to create an inclusive, respectful environment for everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, income, national origin, race, or sexual orientation. We also recognize our responsibility to work toward an equitable society where all people’s rights and dignity are upheld. We stand with marginalized communities against systemic racism and continue to learn, listen, and improve as we uphold our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
GENDER IDENTITY IN OUR APPLICATION
Our camp software does not currently include the functionality to expand the selections for gender identity in our staff application. We recognize that the male/female options do not adequately reflect our staff population. If there is anything you would like us to know about your gender identity, please feel free to include it in the custom field at the end of the application.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Thank you for taking the time to apply to the Bar 717 Ranch
