Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with us in recent days. We appreciate hearing from you. The smoke cleared out this afternoon revealing a beautiful fall day here at the Bar 717 Ranch. Camp is currently safe. We are in close communication with the Incident Management Team that is responsible for managing the Monument Fire. The weather over the past few days has moderated the fire behavior which has slowed the rate of spread towards the ranch. We’ve had the chance to talk to many of the crews who are working hard build and improve the fire lines to the east and south of the ranch. We are hopeful that the favorable weather conditions continue, thereby allowing the crews to fire off and secure these lines over the next several days. We’ll continue to post updates in the coming days.
