There is no question that the cancellation of our 2020 camp sessions will put a heavy financial burden on Camp for this and the coming years. The year-round expenses of the ranch remain the same whether or not camp operates, and delivering a great summer experience requires extensive year-round planning and corresponding spending. These expenses include supporting our hardworking year-round staff, feed for our horses and other animals, and all other costs associated with keeping the ranch running until summer 2021.

The support of our extended Camp Trinity community has helped ensure camp’s future during past hardships. This time around, we are facing two years of expenses during a year of no income. Camp is 100% of what we do, so if you are in a position to make a donation, this is an opportunity when your generosity will go directly to support the future of the Bar 717 Ranch. If you’d like to learn more about our decision, or the challenges facing camp in the next year, we have shared all of that information on our website.

Regardless of whether you can make a donation, we value everyone’s connection to Camp Trinity on the Bar 717 Ranch. Remember, you can always support camp by spreading the word and helping us fill our sessions for next year. We will get through this. The summer of 2021 at the Bar 717 will be the best one yet!

Please note that donations to the 2020 fund are not tax-deductible. In the past, many of you have supported our Campership Fund, which provides financial support to families who would otherwise not be able to afford to send their children to camp. We will continue to offer these opportunities through the Campership Fund and you can learn more about that program here. Donations to the 2020 Fund will directly support camp’s operating expenses during this year without camp.
