Pillow jousting has been a Harvest Festival favorite for years. As in medieval jousting, your goal is to knock your opponent to the ground. The only differences are that instead of riding a horse, you’re on a balance beam, and instead of a lance, you’ve got a pillow.
To play, you’ll need:
- At least two people
- A long beam or board, raised slightly off the ground (bricks, blocks, boxes etc. work well for this)
- Soft padding for the floor (mattresses, blankets, more pillows, etc.)
- Two pillows with long pillow cases (the extra length creates a spot to grab onto)
How to:
- Both jousters grab a pillow and climb onto opposite ends the beam
- When the referee starts the round, jousters advance until they are within a pillow’s reach of their opponent
- Swing that pillow! Last person standing is the winner.
