Last year, we revived an old tradition that Grover used to refer to as “Give a lift, get a lift.” What Grover meant by this was that in giving back to the ranch and in working together to improve Camp, we also improve ourselves by reconnecting with this special place.
This Spring, we will be continuing this tradition during our Spring Volunteer Work Weekend! Join us March 27-31 at the ranch and help work on projects that will make camp better for this summer and many summers to come. The ranch is beautiful this time of year — green and full of blossoms.
Last year, our crew worked to ready the gardens, create and burn piles of brush, and we even began the process of replacing the old, rickety bell tower with a shiny new one that now signals mealtimes clearly across the mountains during camp. You can check out some photos on our Facebook page.
This year, we will again help ready the ranch for summer. Come for one day, or for the whole time. No skill necessary — the only things you need are a sleeping bag and a pair of gloves. Sign up here – and bring a friend!
We will try to come up for the weekend, @ adults and 3 children very willing and able to work on a ranch. Love the idea of this volunteer opportunity and a peak of the camp before we come up this summer for our 2 week stay.
Hope to see you there.
