Apple on a string is a classic Harvest Festival game that you can play anywhere and with almost any fruit, vegetable, or food.
To play, you’ll need:
- Apples (or any other fruit that can be attached to a string)
- String
- A bar, beam, or other structure that you can hang the apples from. You can also hang a string horizontally across the room or a playing area.
How to:
- Tie pieces of string hanging vertically from the string, bar or, beam with apples attached. The apples should about level with players’ heads.
- Players should place their hands behind their backs for the duration of the game. No hands allowed!
- When the game leader says, “Go” each player attempts to eat his apple as quickly as possible.
- The winner is the first player to eat his apple down to the core.
Give it a try, and let us know how it goes!
