In late March, we were joined by a fantastic crew to help us welcome the first few days of spring at our Spring 2024 Work Weekend. Though the lovely spring weather we’ve been having didn’t stay through the weekend, our crew braved the rain and enjoyed a full weekend of hard work, communal meals, rich conversation, laughter, and nourishing of friendships old and new! With summer coming quickly, we had lots to do. Our projects included working on platforms, burning back some blackberry bushes, deep cleaning and setting up new materials in several program areas, pruning some bushes and trees, and prepping garden beds for spring planting. The crew also enjoyed meeting the new pigs, hiking to the river, seeing morning snow on Gates Mountain, hot cocoa by the fire, and a little evening stargazing.  Thanks to all who joined us!  Everything at the ranch exists because of our incredible community pitching in over the years – work is love made visible!
