Dear Campers,
We know you are sad about this news, and we are sad too. There’s nothing we would love more than to be able to welcome you all to the ranch in the coming weeks.
For all of us, Camp is about connection, connection to nature and to ourselves, but most of all a connection to each other, our friends, and our camp community. As we thought about camp this summer without all of you sitting side-by-side under the apple trees for announcements, sharing meals, and singing with arms around each other around the campfire, we knew that it just wouldn’t be the same.
Whether this summer was going to be your first year or ninth year as a camper, we know you were excited. We were too. We will miss seeing you dressed in your finest Costume Shop ensembles for dances, and the looks on your faces when you return triumphantly from hikes up Gates Mountain. Most of all, we will miss having you as part of our Ranch family this summer. We have saved a spot for you in 2021, and are counting down the days! All of us here at the Ranch— dogs, horses, a couple goats, and a bunch of chickens included—will be waiting for you.
Even though we can’t be together at camp, we are here for you and we want to stay in touch. We will be keeping you updated on things at the Ranch on Facebook and Instagram and you’re welcome to reach out to us there or by email anytime.
Sincerely,
Kent, Gretchen, Laura, Nick, Jean, Emma and Geoff
